Transforming
“Transforming” is a continuation of my themes that concern changes within our natural environment. Initially, my inspiration came from walking along the beach watching the action of the waves upon the land but as the work progressed the series developed into a more personal response to my readjusting from a turbulent Christchurch that I left in December 2014 to now living in the Kaipara area.
This series reflects the influences of the traditional Japanese Ukiyo e print, a return to Japanese aesthetics as well a rekindling of my use of symbolism and spiritual content.
