The Story of Banks Peninsula
Watercolour, pastel, pencil, and collage on Kozo paper, 1800mm x 900mm, 2009
This traces the journey from the split from Gondwana to the Ice melt and the emergence of the first Podocarps, to maori and euoropean settlements where much of the native trees were destroyed either by fire or cutting down trees to use for timber or make way for planting grasses, to the introduction of covenants, walkways and mountain bike tracks.
